Introducing our Native Notion Integration-cover-photo

Here at Basewell, we have a lot of respect for Notion. Their block-based, canvas-style editing format revolutionized WYSIWYG text editors and introduced a new standard for creating modern, dynamic pages.

If you’re already using Notion, it’s likely you already have lots of content in Notion. Previously, adding that content in Basewell required duplication across two systems, and the process wasn’t instant or frictionless. Our goal is to build Basewell as your smartest companion; ensuring “things just work” for all users without requiring extra effort. That means any friction between you, and the information you need to do your best work shouldn’t exist.

For that reason, we’re so proud to introduce our native Notion integration. Similar to our OneDrive and link syncing features, our Notion integration is fast and seamless. All you need to do is select which pages you want to make available in Basewell, and Basewell handles the rest automatically. Learning, categorizing, organizing, and making your content available happens automatically, behind the scenes.

It’s literally the easiest way to make all your information available, instantly. Watch below to see how it works:

What does this mean for teams using Notion?

All Basewell integrations keep humans in the loop when necessary—like tagging content or assigning permissions—while eliminating bloat, busywork, and friction. This integration is no different. For example, Notion content is automatically updated in your Basewell workspace as it changes in Notion. That means information is always fresh, without requiring any additional steps!

This advancement is exciting for two reasons. First, it’s finally a step forward from outdated standards still persisting today (the most prevalent of which is SCORM). Just updating information using these standards requires tremendous, manual, highly technical lifts.

Admins must update content, export that content in specific formats, organize that content in a separate platform, and duplicate that content for different teams in different regions, only then (maybe, hopefully?) are they able to distribute those updates across a network of complicated endpoints. Ouch!

Not with Basewell. Click, sync, done. What previously took hours or days now takes seconds.

Second, this means teams using Basewell and Notion can see radical solutions and improvements to their daily work without radical disruption to their daily work.

Basewell is “tech-stack agnostic,” meaning you can keep using the tools you already know and love. If your team wants to stay in Notion, great! You can do that. As long as a Notion page is connected, your content will stay updated in Basewell.

This step is supremely important to eliminate the fatigue often felt with swelling tech stacks. “Just another tool” can feel like “death by a thousand cuts” for teams already trying to juggle a complicated tech ecosystem. By erasing the friction often following learning and knowledge tools, teams can focus on doing important work, faster, while removing fatigue and confusion. It’s a win-win.
